The Indiana Pacers is a professional basketball team based in Indianapolis, Indiana, and is part of the Central Division of the Eastern Conference of the NBA.
The Pacers were founded in 1967 and joined the American Basketball Association (ABA). They won the ABA championship three times in 1970, 1972, and 1973. After the merger of the American Basketball Association and the American Men's Basketball League (NBA) in 1976, the Pacers became one of the four teams in the original ABA League to join the NBA.
The Pacers failed to enter the NBA playoffs in the 1970s. In the 1980s, they began to make a series of adjustments to the lineup and improved. In the 1990s, four times under the leadership of famous coaches Larry Brown and Larry Bird. Into the Eastern Conference finals, jerseys for cheap and gradually established a strong team status.
